From July 1 to July 25 in Sirius Educational Centre (Sochi) a project shift takes place, in which participate nearly 400 talented pupils after passing through serious selection. Children together with tutors, specialists of leading enterprises, universities and scientific institutes work on 12 different directions. The program goal is to develop pupils’ creative abilities and interest to scientific and research activity and technical creativity.

During the design shift which obtained the name "Big challenges", they will have to work on prospective projects and real items’ creation. At this moment the teams are already formed, and the work on projects began.

Within this shift RSC Energia represents a complex educational program on building “Lunar take-off and landing complex (TOLC) Aerial stand”. Fourteen pupils participate in this work. Five of them are from Korolev Science Town, also including three pupils of the airspace class, opened under auspices of RSC Energia in Gymnasia No.11 (Korolev).

-Three project teams under the guidance of the Corporation specialists will produce TOLC prototype, which will be placed at the aerial platform on the basis of quadrocopter, and also will develop control and stabilization system of aerial stand with fixture for cameras, which will be able to maximum closely simulate the dynamics of apparatus landing on the Moon. In the end of the shift pupils will carry out complex flight tests of the Aerial stand, which control will be performed from the built by them working place of TOLC crew.

For the space shift participants the lectures and practical trainings concerning basics of devices design, space flight mechanics, 3D modeling, programming and many other things are conducted.

In space laboratory children met RSC Energia Deputy General Director Mikhail Viktorovich Komarov. He told them that at the end of the shift the Space lesson will be held, which will be attended by pilot-cosmonaut Fedor Yurchikhin from the International Space Station board. The best pupils will be able to ask cosmonaut a question.

The results of pupils activity will be represented in the end of the educational program at the concluding conference.

All participants of the shift “Big challenges” are 8-10 class pupils, winners and prizewinners of all-Russia contest of the design and research works, having achievements in technological education, physico-mathematical, natural sciences sphere.
