Nurlan Nogayev, Governor of the region, suggested launching flights to Astrakhan, Samara and Volgogradat the 10th meeting of the commission on cooperation between the Senate of the Parliament of the Republicof Kazakhstan and the Federation Council of Russia, according to the Kazinform News Agency, Kazakhstan.
“In neighbouring Uralsk, Kazakhstan, one airline already carries out its air service to the border cities of Russia. It would be nice if such flights were launched from our city en route Atyrau – Astrakhan, Atyrau – Samara and Atyrau – Volgograd. At present, the Ministry of Industry and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan is carrying out certain work, but, given the status of the Federation Council’s international committee, we ask this proposal to be supported and included in the minutes of today’s meeting,” the Governor of the Atyrau Region said, addressing the meeting participants.
Members of the Federation Council of Russia promised to consider the proposal, noting that first of all it is necessary to calculate the load capacities of these flights, as well as their economic justification.
