Specialists of search-and-rescue and parachute services of the Aerospace Force’s air units have practised their survival skills in the highlands within the limits of the assembly based on the Special Centre of flight personnel survival. Aviation rescuers made a many kilometres march carrying out the tasks of climbing training, after which they worked out mounting tents made of parachutes and improvised means, breeding fires, obtaining water and food.
In addition, the assembly’s participants practised helicopter landing from
Mi-8 at various heights from 600 to 4000 metres for accuracy of landing and splashdown, as well as provision of first aid to the symbolically injured. A total of about 1000 sky jumps took place.
About 100 specialists of the search-and-rescue and parachute service, as well as the flight personnel of aviation associations, formations and units of the Aerospace Forces from various regions of the country took part in the assembly.
