About 50 air vehicles of the Eastern MD are planned to be engaged in the Indra-2017 Russian-Indian drill

It is planned to perform tasks on suppression of the international terrorist activities during the air exercises of “Indra-2017” Russian-Indian joint drill.

This year air exercises will take place from the second half of October till November at ranges located in the Primorskiy Krai.

Aircraft of the Eastern MD will exercise defeating hypothetical illegal armed groups while performing the practical part of the drill.

In total, about 50 air vehicles of the Eastern MD, including more than 30 aircraft, in particular, new fighters Su-30SM, will be engaged.

Moreover, about 20 helicopters, including Mi-8 AMTSh “Terminator”, and several modern AD systems and complexes such as S-300, S-400 and Pantsyr-S will be engaged in the drill.
