Today, the command-and-staff exercise of the Ulyanovsk and Ivanovo Airborne formations has started today.
After the alert signal, the servicemen received equipment and medicaments, and moved to the concentration areas and airfields.
During the exercise, the servicemen and military hardware will be airdropped on unfamiliar ranges.
The scheduled exercise will involve about 2,000 servicemen and more than 400 pieces of military and special hardware as well as more than 40 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
The event will last until July 7.
