Russian Emergencies Ministry’s forces prevented fires and emergencies during MAKS-2017 Salon

The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s forces prevented all fires and emergencies during the MAKS-2017 International Air and Space Salon, which was held in the town of Zhukovsky.

More than 180 people and 40 units of equipment, including Mil Mi-8 and MBB Bo 105 helicopters controlled the safety of the event and were on standby to respond to possible emergencies.

More than 600 training courses on fire safety were carried out with the organizers and participants of the Salon.

Preventive efforts carried out by the Emergencies Ministry were highly praised by the organizers and the board of the MAKS-2017 International Air and Space Salon.

More than 450,000 participants and guests have visited the MAKS-2017 salon, as well as more than 50 official delegations, which observed air shows carried out by 8 aerobatic teams and 84 aircraft.

More than 880 companies, including 180 foreign manufacturers from 35 countries displayed their products and services. The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s aircraft display was shown to the visitors at the Gromov’s Aircraft Research Institute airfield, where the visitors could examine a Kamov Ka-32A11VS helicopter and a Beriev Be-200ChS plane. The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s aircraft also took part in the air shows.
