Russian Emergencies Ministry’s aircraft delivers parafirefighters from Abakan to Nadym

The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s Ilyushin Il-76 plane with 110 specialists from Avialesokhrana and necessary equipment on board has took off from Abakan to Nadym today.

Emergency situation was declared on 23 July 2017 in the region due to forest fires.

More than 1,320 people and 130 units of equipment, including 15 aircraft from the SSDMS are engaged into protection of settlements and business against fires, forest fire monitoring.

The situation is under constant satellite and air monitoring, development of the most dangers fires is being modelled, UAVs are being actively used. Residential blocks and woods are being patrolled, the people are being kept updated on the situation and steps taken. People are prohibited to enter the forest for the duration of the emergency situation mode.

There are no threats to the settlements, businesses and social facilities at the moment.
