Russian Emergencies Ministry’s jet carries out medevac of five gravely ill children

The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s Sukhoi Superjet 100 has carried out medical evacuation of three gravely ill children from Moscow to Simferopol. The children underwent special medical treatment in the Research Institute of Emergency Children Surgery. Further medical treatment will be carried out at place of their residence in the city of Simferopol in the local children hospital.

On the way back the plane picked up two gravely ill children from Simferopol, who needed highly qualified and high-tech medical treatment, to deliver the child in Moscow. The children was delivered to the Botkin’s State Clinic.

The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s plane is rigged with modern equipment and specialized medical modules, breathing apparatuses and cardiomonitors that allow rendering medical aid during the flight.

Medical specialists from the Tsentrospas Team of the Emergencies Ministry, the ZashchitaCenter of the Russian Health Ministry and a psychologist from the Center for Emergency Psychological Aid of the Emergencies Ministry accompanied the patients during the flight.
