Russian paratroopers performed first trial parachute jumps in course of preparation for the international stage of the Airborne Platoon contest of the Army Games 2017.

Teams from Iran, Kazakhstan, South Africa and Morocco performed practical landing from the ZHI-8KA helicopters of the Air Forces of the People's Liberation Army of China together with the Russian team. Paratroopers embarked on the helicopters on the Yingshang airfield near the Hadani range in China. Then they landed at the Gouden landing ground (150 m above the sea level).

Team of 22 servicemen performed landing from the 800 m altitude. Servicemen met at the landing ground (700 m * 1,500 m). After that, servicemen continued speed march.

Another team of Russian servicemen consisted of 3 paratroopers was training in accuracy of landing.

It was first time when Russian Airborne troops were jumping from the ZHI-8KA helicopters of the Air Forces of the People's Liberation Army of China. The landing ground was located in mountainous area and was surrounded by several open basins.
