New military range is planned to be built for the Airborne troops combat training in one of the subjects of the Central Federal District before the end of 2020.

At the same time, two areas with the newest training simulators and range equipment will be established at ranges of military schools of the Airborne troops, located in the Ryazan and Omsk regions.

Quality implementation of training and combat tasks and achieving high level of combat training of the Airborne units became real by systematic use of training facilities, consisting mainly of ranges.

Currently, field training-material base of the Airborne troops consists of 15 ranges, including Strugi-Krasnyye range of the central control of the Airborne troops, located in the Pskov region.

Establishing new range facilities will guarantee quality implementation of the training plan of the Airborne troops, will much increase the capabilities of the training facilities on conducting different tactical exercises and will ensure the growing needs of the Armed Forces in training the servicemen and preparing them for mastering new specializations.
