UAC offers Superjet 100 to the military to replace the Tu-134 and An-148

The UAC offers Sukhoi Superjet 100 to replace the Tu-134 and An-148 transport aircraft of the Russian Ministry of Defence. The head of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) Yury Slyusar told journalists, TASS reported.

"We continue to remain in the role of optimists and believe that the air fleet, if I'm not mistaken, 30 Tu-134's can be completely replaced with the Superjet. We hope that we will be able to bring this topic to the fore, while the dialogue is not easy", Yury Slyusar said.

"Because of the risks with Ukraine, the An-148 we are no longer considering", he noted.

According to the head of the UAC, even the completion of the current contract is not easy due to restrictions on the part of Ukraine. "We are completing it next year, but also with a shift in terms, because Ukraine is increasingly limiting the supply possibilities", Slyusar summed up.
