Emergency Ministry jet carries out medical evacuation of woman from Sochi to Perm

A Sukhoi Superjet 100 owned by the Ministry for Emergency Situations has taken off today from the Zhukovsky airport outside Moscow and carried out medical evacuation of a seriously-ill woman from the city of Sochi to the city of Perm.

The patient is in need of urgent highly-qualified and high-tech medical care.

The jet is rigged with modern equipment and a special medical module, a medical ventilation apparatus and cardiomonitors allowing providing medical aid on board.

During the flight the patient was accompanied by medical specialists of the Emergency Ministry’s Tsentroslas team and Health Ministry’s Zashchita All-Russian Disaster Medicine Center.

In Perm the woman will be transported to the Perm Territory Clinical Hospital to get high-tech medical care.
