On 17 July, before the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2017’s opening, aeronautical aerobatics groups of the Aerospace Force will participate in the qualification flights.
The ASF’s pilots will demonstrate pair manoeuvrable air combats, as well as group, pair and single pilotage.
The event involves crews of the pilot groups ‘Falcons of Russia’ using Su-35S fighters, ‘Russian Knights’ using Su-30SM fighters, and ‘Swifts’ using MiG-29 fighters.
The flight crews will perform such spectacular figures as: "group barrel", "Nesterov group loop", "synchronous barrels" by four, "ear", afterburner combat turns and reversals, manoeuvre "tulip". During pair and single pilotage, pilots will fly at oncoming courses, "oncoming barrels", "bell", "mirror", as well as combat manoeuvres with overcritical attack angles.
The International Aviation-and-Space Salon will be held on 18-23 July in the city of Zhukovsky outside Moscow.
In addition to aerobatic groups, the Aerospace Force will present a static exposition of modern aviation equipment of all aviation arms.
