Russia' Emercom jet evacuates 3 seriously-ill children from Rostov-on-Don to St. Petersburg and Moscow

An Emergency Ministry’s Sukhoi Superjet 100 has taken off today to carry out medical evacuation of seriously-ill children from the city of Rostov-on-Don to Saint Petersburg and Moscow.

The patients are need of highly-qualified and high-tech medical care.

The jet is rigged with modern equipment and a special medical module, a medical ventilation apparatus and cardiomonitors allowing providing medical aid on board.

During the flight the patients are going to be accompanied by medical specialists of the Emergency Ministry’s Tsentroslas team, Health Ministry’s Zashchita All-Russian Disaster Medicine Center and a psychologist of the Emergency Ministry’s Center for Emergency Psychological Aid.

Two of the children are going to be delivered to the V.A. Almazov Northwestern Federal Medical Research Center in Saint Petersburg and another one to the Russian Children’s Hospital of the RF Health Ministry in Moscow.
