A tactical flight exercise with combat firings started today in Stavropol Krai. More than 50 pilots, on-board specialists, specialists of ground flight support services of the Southern MD and more than 20 army aviation helicopters are engaged in this exercise.
Helicopter crews will have to eliminate conditional enemy’s air assault and to provide fire support to the attacking motorized rifle and tank units during the event. Pilots will perform about 50 flights in total during the exercise.
The simple and complex elements of piloting Mi-8ATMSH Terminator, Mi-28N Night Hunter and Mi-35M helicopters will be practiced during implementation of given tasks as well as actions in wings during joint maneuvering and running up at day- and nighttime.
The exercise will last from 12 till 14 of July.
