Defence Minister urged to pay attention to the reliability of the strategic missile carriers Tu-160 and Tu-95MS

During the teleconference with the leadership of the Armed Forces, Defence Minister, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu has tabled a question relating to the improvement of health strategic bombers Tu-160 and Tu-95MS.

The Defence Minister explained that work in this area performed by a public joint stock company "Tupolev" together with other industrial enterprises on state contracts maintenance and full life cycle.

Currently being renovated avionics, engines, other systems and units, and repair and upgrade the aircraft themselves in order to prolong their life and improve the application.

Given the particular importance of each strategic bomber to strengthen the defence of the country, the Defence Minister offered to analyze what is done to ensure the reliability of these aircraft.
