In the Astrakhan Region, the Aerospace Forces Fighter Centre’s MiG-29SMT crews exercised air interceptions within the framework of the flight tactical exercise.
The pilots on the command "Air" worked take-off in the pair, detection of the target in the air, exposed by the target aircraft, and its destruction by air-to-air missiles.
In addition, flight crews practised launches of unguided rockets using ground targets, which denoted objects of infrastructure, armoured vehicles and automobile vehicles.
In total, more than 10 MiG-29SMT crews of the Aerospace Forces Fighter Centre took part in the exercise. They carried out more than 30 sorties for combat using aviation defeat means.
