Western Military District’s radio technical regiment units started the tactical exercise in Karelia

Western Military District’s radio technical regiment units, equipped with modern radar stations “Kasta”, “Nebo” and “Gamma” and automation complexes, are holding the tactical exercise in Karelia.

The specialists will perform the detection of the air targets and will transfer the information about the targets to the command post for fast decision of use of the weapons fire.

The radar stations allow to control the airspace at several hundred kilometers distance.

About 500 servicemen and more than 50 pieces of military hardware and weapons are engaged in this planned exercise.
