In Kolomna near Moscow began flying part of the contest "Competition of UAV details"

The flying part of the all-army contest ‘Competition of UAV details’ has started in the city of Kolomna,. Participants will demonstrate their skills in solving tasks for the intended purpose.

Teams will conduct aerial reconnaissance of the terrain, during which they will have to detect and identify the disguised objects and equipment of the imaginary enemy in the given area. According to the terms of the competition, details of ‘Orlan-10’ UAVs should find seven targets in two terrain squares of, and the crew of the ‘Eleron-3’ UAVs – 10 targets in three terrain areas. At doing so, details are limited by the time.

On the eve, at the range of the WMD’s Combat Training Centre of the Land Force’s Missile Troops and Artillery, the contest ground part was held. According to its results, the best details on deployment and preparation of the complex for use became servicemen of the Airborne Forces. In the team fire training the Western Military District’s teams were recognised as the best ones. Junior Sergeant G. Plotnikov from the Eastern Military District became the winner in the nomination ‘Unmanned Aircraft Sniper’.
