A unit of the British holding company of Rolls-Royce, which manufactures engines for civil aviation, will take part in the selection of suppliers for Russian-Chinese wide-body long-range aircraft, CONSTRUCTION portal reported.
This is what the president of the United Aircraft Corporation, Yuri Slyusar, told Rambler News on Wednesday at the international air show in Le Bourget.
“Rolls-Royce, along with other leading international manufacturers of engines, is one of the candidates for participation in cooperation over the wide-body long-range aircraft. The company, like other potential suppliers of engines, has passed the stage of RFI. At present, the preparation for the phase of RFP – a request for proposals of suppliers of aircraft systems and equipment – is expected,” he said.
