From 13 to 18 June, as part of implementation of the International Open Sky Treaty, the United States and Italy will jointly perform an observation flight over the territory of the Russian Federation using the OS-135B surveillance aircraft after taking-off from the Khabarovsk (Novy) airfield.
According to Sergei Ryzhkov, the Chief of the Russian National Centre for Nuclear Danger Reduction, during the agreed route flight Russian specialists aboard the surveillance aircraft will monitor the strict compliance of agreed flight parametres and the accurate use of observation equipment foreseen by the Treaty.
