During the winter training period, troops and forces of the Eastern military district held more than 14,000 combat training activities, over 240 command-and-staff, tactic, and special exercises as well as about 450 command-and-staff trainings of different scale with military control bodies.
Large-scale fire control exercise of air defence troops and aviation held at the Telemba range was most important combat training activity.
Thirty-nine air defence units and more than 1,200 pieces of armament and military hardware as well as about 100 aircraft were involved in the combat training activities.
