Red Wings has received first A321

Red Wings Airlines has received the first A321 aircraft as part of a large-scale upgrade program for its fleet.

The airliner in the airline's coloring landed at Moscow's Domodedovo airport.

This is the first of three aircraft of this model leased from the leasing company Aviation Capital Group (ACG).

"Redesign of the Red Wings fleet is an important part of the airline's strategy as a backbone network carrier. The operation of the A321 aircraft will allow us to increase the efficiency of the company, make it more stable and prepare for the future operation of a new type of aircraft of the Russian-made MC-21, "said Evgeny Klyucharev, the general director of Red Wings.

The airplane with a capacity of 220 passengers in an economy-class configuration was produced by Airbus Industrie in 2004.

Red Wings plans to replenish its fleet with six airplanes produced by Airbus until the end of 2017.
