In the Tver Region, the WMD air regiment’s Su-27 fighter aircraft practised interception and coercion of an imaginery aircraft-violator to landing.
In accordance with the training plan, the An-26 was raised into the air for interception of the target.
On-duty ground air defence means of the WMD found an unidentified aircraft, and a pair of Su-27 fighters were hoisted to the air.
After approaching the "violator", fighter pilots signalled their presence by light signals and forced it to land at a military airfield by air manoeuvres.
Already on the ground, the WMD’s rapid reaction groups and duty units blocked the aircraft on the runway and carried out an operation to neutralize the crew.
