More than 800 jumps were carried out in May by servicemen of reconnaissance subunits of the Western Military District (WMD) from An-26 aircraft of military transport aviation and MI-8AMTSh ‘Terminator’ helicopters of army aviation in the Tambov Region as part of airborne training.
For practising skills, parachute systems D-6 and D-10, as well as controlled parachute systems Arbalet-1 and Malva were used in the altitude range from 500 to 3 200 metres.
Scheduled training activities in airborne training are conducted on the basis of the WMD’s special-purpose formation and to be completed on May 30.
