Su-25SM attack aircraft made a trip from the Shagol airfield to the Russian Kant airbase in Kyrgyzstan. Airmen covered more than 3,500 km, refuelling at intermediate airfields in the cities of Omsk and Novosibirsk.

Before this, the crews successfully practised bombing attacks in the Trans-Ural region and took part in the air parade dedicated to the 72nd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The United Russian military base in Kant is a structural part of the Central Military District, being a component of the CSTO Collective Rapid Deployment Forces. It participates in ensuring security of the territory and airspace of the CSTO’s member states.
