Russian Helicopters has signed an agreement with Belarus’ 558 Aircraft Repair Plant, covering the support and overhaul of Mil Mi-8 and Mil Mi-17 helicopters.
The agreement, signed on 20 May, will see Russian Helicopters provide engineering and technical support for the overhaul of Mi-8 and Mi-17 helicopters, as well as providing documentation to allow the 558 Aircraft Repair Plant the capability to overhaul civil helicopters.
At present, the 558 Aircraft Repair Plant undertakes modernisation of aircraft including the Sukhoi Su-22, Su-25, and Su-27, as well as the MiG-29, Mi-24, and Mi-8/17.
The company is also involved in manufacturing unmanned aerial systems and electronic warfare (EW) equipment.
