Naval aviation fighter squadron of the Pacific Fleet celebrates its 78th anniversary.
Traditionally, pilots of the formation met this day performing tasks on air defence of the Far Eastern borders of Russia.
Pilots of the squadron have mastered in operating 12 types of aircraft, including R-2, I-15bis, Il-2, R-63, MiG-15, MiG-17, Yak-25M, MiG-19, Su-9, Yak-28P, Su-15, and MiG-31, since the formation of the aviation unit.
This has been the best fighter aviation squadron of the Russian Navy for the last three years.
