Air defence missile brigade of the Western MD held a command-and-staff exercise in the Smolensk region.

Control bodies and units of the brigade were alerted, conducted a 50-km march to the assigned area, and practiced preparing and conducting warfare.

Within last week, the servicemen improved their skills in organizing and conducting reconnaissance operations, detecting and tracking targets as well as carried out electronic missile launches.

More than 250 servicemen and about 100 pieces of armament and military hardware were involved in the exercise.
