Russia has submitted terms of the delivery of MiG-29 fighter jets to Argentina, TASS reported.
Representatives of Russia and Argentina will discuss the supply of MiG-29 fighters at a meeting of the intergovernmental commission for military-technical cooperation in April this year. This was reported to journalists by the deputy director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) of Russia Anatoly Punchuk, who heads the Russian delegation at the LAAD 2017 exhibition in Brazil.
"This issue will be deeply discussed at a meeting of the intergovernmental commission on military-technical cooperation, which will be held in April," Punchuk said.
According to him, the relevant applications have already been received, the proposals are under consideration by the Argentine side.
The commercial proposal for the purchase of 15 MiG-29 fighters was sent to Russia in January this year.
The MiG-29 is designed to combat enemy aircraft, cover troops and rear facilities from air strikes, counter the enemy's air reconnaissance day and night in simple and difficult weather conditions.
