Ural Airlines, Russia, received no any notifications from the Tajik aviation authorities about the banning of flights to Dushanbe and Khujand from the Zhukovsky airport near Moscow, the TASS News Agency, Russia, learned from Ural Airlines on Tuesday.

“We have not yet received an official ban on flights to Tajikistan. We fly in the usual mode, the sale of air tickets continues”, Ural Airlines said.

Earlier, media reported that the Tajik aviation authorities will impose restrictions on flights for Ural Airlines from Zhukovsky airport to Tajikistan’s Dushanbe and Khujand at 10:30 am local time (08:30 am Moscow time) since April 6th. This should be a response to the Russian authorities’ restrictions, as regards Somon Air’s flights.

As of 08:30 am Moscow time on April 3, 2017, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation introduced a ban on the number of flights to Russia for Tajikistan’s Somon Air. The Ministry decided to restrict the airlines’ flights in response to the disagreement of Tajik aviation authorities to agree in full the flights for Yamal Airlines from Zhukovsky.
