Aeroflot and Russian Basketball Federation Extend Agreement

Aeroflot and the Russian Basketball Federation have extended the agreement on transportation of national basketball teams until the end of 2017.

Aeroflot has been the Official Carrier of Russia’s national basketball teams since May 2016. “To new heights with Aeroflot” is the slogan of cooperation. Under the agreement, Aeroflot will provide to the Basketball Federation air transportation of Russian national basketball teams.

Throughout its long history, Aeroflot has always rendered comprehensive support to sports, whilst fostering Russia’s empowerment as a sports power. It is General Partner of The Russian Olympic Committee and the Official Carrier of the Russian Olympic Team. The airline is also the official carrier of the Russian national football team, of the CSKA Football and Basketball clubs, partner of the Russian Football Union and Russian Volleyball Federation, sponsor of the Russian Cycling Federation. Aeroflot Open festival is the most high-profile open chess tournament in the world.
