Piloting staff of the Russian Aerospace Forces intercepted aircraft of the conditional enemy at the Astrakhan region range.

A pair of MiG-29SMT took off from the Privolzhsky airfield, detected and intercepted aircraft of the conditional enemy as well as engaged ground targets, which imitated infrastructural objects, military hardware and airfield of the conditional enemy. The pilots also practiced defensive and offensive elements of air combat.

More than 10 crews of MiG-29SMT participated in the training.
