The holding company Techmash (part of Rostec) has developed ammunition for a 30-mm cannon fighter of the 5th generation T-50 (PAK FA), Oleg Chizhevsky, chief designer of NPO Pribor (part of Techmash), told reporters, RNS reported.

"We hope that this year the state tests of the ammunition of the PAK FA cannon will be completed," Chizhevsky said.

According to him, NPO "Pribor" is ready for serial production of such ammunition.

The T-50 fighter is being developed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau for the Russian Defense Ministry. The first flight took place on January 29, 2010. The T-50 is a multi-purpose fighter of the 5th generation, designed to replace in the future in Russian military aircraft the fighters of the Su-27 and Su-30 families.
