Pilots of MiG-31 fighters intercepted a target over Kamchatka

A pair of MiG-31 fighters of the Pacific Ocean Fleet naval aviation practiced intercepting cruise missiles of the simulated enemy.

The pilots took off, moved to the assigned area, and practiced detecting and eliminating air targets. 

The target coordinates were received from the air defence units. The target was moving with the speed of 800 km/h at the distance of 120 kilometers.

In order to intercept the target, the pilots were to operate at the altitude of 15 km at the speed of 2,500 km/h.
