About 30 Su-30M2, Su-27SM3, Su-30SM and Su-34 aircraft from the 4th Air Force and Air Defence Army of the Southern MD located in the Krasnodar Krai and the Rostov Region are taking part in the large-scale exercise conducted at the Telemba range (Republic of Buryatia).

The pilots have already performed launching of unguided rockets and bombing of a simulated enemy column. Air combat, interception of intruders at the altitudes from 150 to 3,000 m were also the part of the exercise programme. In total, the servicemen have conducted about 25 sorties.

The exercise will last until the end of April and will be completed by combat missile launches conducted by S-300PM and Pantsir-S systems.
