Sukhoi SuperJet 100 started regular flights with Brussels Airlines. The first flight from Brussels took place on March 26 at 6 am in Nice. Aviation EXplorer reported.

The Irish airline CityJet has leased three aircraft for two years to the" wet "leasing of Brussels Airlines (on-board numbers EI-FWC, EI-FWB and EI-FWD). Another aircraft with the EI-FWA number will continue to fly as part of the Irish airline CityJet. The SSJ 100 aircraft with the EI-FWD number was due to arrive at CityJet Park at the end of 2016, but in Venice the aircraft was painted in the livery of Brussels Airlines and did not fly with CityJet. This is the 105th aircraft produced in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, its factory number 95111, the first flight was made on May 31, 2016, and in July flew to Venice to the Customization Center SuperJet International.

Brussels Airlines will fly to SSJ100 in 17 European cities, such as Berlin (Tegel), Copenhagen, Vienna, Nice, Bologna, Geneva, Prague, Milan and others. Another direction where Brussels Airlines are planning to fly to SSJ100 is Stockholm-Bromma airport, but this type of aircraft does not yet have permission to fly to this airport, and until the flights permit to the capital of Sweden, the airline will use Avro RJ100 in this direction, which Gradually withdrawn from the park. The carrier is awaiting permission for the SSJ100 at the beginning of June.
