Russian Ministry of Transport promises to take all necessary measures to coordinate flights with Tajikistan

Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov said that the Transport Ministry will take all necessary measures to ensure that the Tajik air authorities agree flights from Zhukovsky to Dushanbe. This is reported by Gazeta.ru.

"The Ministry of Transport and aviation authorities of Russia have always consistently defended the interests of airlines and Russian business, and proceeding from this principle we will act with our Tajik counterparts. And, accordingly, we will take the necessary adequate measures to encourage them to implement the relevant points and arrangements within the framework of the intergovernmental agreement on air services, "Sokolov said at the International Arctic Forum.

He also stressed that additional negotiations will be held between the parties.

Earlier, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said that four airlines from Tajikistan and Russia will begin to fly through Zhukovsky airport in May 2017.
