Army aviation base of the Western military district was alerted in course of an exercise

Today, army aviation base of the Western military district in the Pskov region has alerted in course of the flight tactic exercise

Pilots and engineer-technical staff of the airbase have started preparing the aviation hardware for projecting to operational airfields in the Leningrad region.

Crews of Ka-52 and Mi-8AMTSh will carry out air mission independently and in wings. They will fire unguided missiles and 23mm guns and 12.7 machine guns against different targets.

Pilots are to carry out up to 30 flights a day. All piloting and technical staff of the airbase is participating in the exercise.
