Passengers of the S7 Airlines’ flight #3288 will be able to take part in the “Total Dictation” action directly on board the plane, Kazinform reports with reference to the organizers of this event.
“On April 8, 2017 passengers of the S7 Airlines’ Almaty, Kazakhstan – Novosibirsk, Russia, flight will be asked to check their literacy right during the flight. All interested persons will be handed out with special paper forms, pens and special headsets with headphones in order not to distract other travelers or sleeping passengers. After the flight, the written works will be transferred to the Turan University, a headquarter in Almaty, for verification, and the evaluation/marks can be found later on the “Total Dictation” website”, the report said.
“Aircraft connect cities and countries, and the language connects people. Developing ourselves and studying languages, we learn the world and culture of other countries, this gives us the opportunity to strive for a global cultural dialogue, mutual respect and understanding”, noted by Daniyar Beksultan, Coordinator of this action in Almaty.
Other cities that have joined the idea of writing such a dictation in a flying airliner include Russia’s Vladivostok,St. Petersburg and Moscow, as well as Germany’s Berlin with the following flights: Vladivostok– Novosibirsk, Novosibirsk– Moscow, Moscow –Berlin, Novosibirsk– St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk– Moscow.
Organizers specify that passengers of one aircraft wrote dictation a year ago in the sky between Novosibirsk and Moscow and this happened for the first time.
