Icar Airlines, Russia, will start operating its flights to Baku, Azerbaijan, from the new international airport in Zhukovsky near Moscow, Russia, since March 14, 2017, the Baku Heydar Aliyev International Airport reported Trend on Friday.
As one noted, according to the information available, the Icar Airlines was supposed to operate its flights from February 13th through March 25, 2017 in the framework of the winter air navigation season.
“Icar Airlines was supposed to operate its flights en route Zhukovsky – Baku – Zhukovsky as part of the winter flight during the period from February 13th through March 25, 2017 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays, with the arrival in Baku at 03:15 am and departure at 04:30 am and, since February 17, 2017 – also on Fridays with the arrival at 03:15 am and departure at 05:35 am”, the Airport Press Service said.
However, on January 30, arequest was sent stating that this airline cancels its flights from February 13ththrough March 13, 2017.
“Accordingly, as part of the winter flight schedule, Icar will start operating flights four times a week since March 14, 2017. Since March 26, 2017 when the summer flight schedule comes into effect the flights en route Zhukovsky – Baku will be carried out on a daily basis”, the Heydar Aliyev Airport said.
The fourthZhukovsky International Airport located not far from Moscow was opened on May 30, 2016. The stated carrying capacity of the first phase of the new airport was four million passengers annually.
