About 30 crews of Mi-8, Mi-24 and Ka-52 helicopters of the Western military district started training in mountain terrain in the Elbrus Mount region.
The pilots are practicig landing in high-mountain terrain on unequipped pads, combat maneuvering in pairs as well as using gun and missile armament.
Moreover, the servicemen are to conduct transport, assault and reconnaissance tasks at the altitudes of more than 2,500 meters in complex weather conditions at day- and nighttime.
In total, the aviation crews are to perform not less than 50 flights using helicopter armament at the mountainous range.
