S7 Airlines, oneworld global airline alliance member, has traditionally acted as the official partner of the Best of Russia 2016 exhibition, which opens today at the Center for Contemporary Art Winzavod in Moscow.
Best of Russia is an open All-Russian project, which tells about a year of life of Russia, its people and outstanding events with the photos. Anyone into the photography, both amateur and pro, can participate in the Best of Russia.
The exhibition of winning photographs of the project will take place from 16 February to 26 March 2017, after which the exhibition will travel to other cities in Russia. Photographic equipment and exhibits of the Best of Russia will be delivered by S7 Airlines flights.
“This year’s special theme of the project is “Make happiness!” This is the slogan of a long-standing partner of the Best of Russia, S7 Airlines, which supports people in their achievement of happiness. We proposed the project participants to speculate what is the happiness and to illustrate the most joyful moments for them in their photos. Everyone has their own idea of happiness — some discover new places, some spend time with their loved ones, while others find it in their labor of love. Happiness is the process, you need to enjoy it”, says Sofia Trotsenko, chairwoman of the Fund for the Support of the Contemporary Art Winzavod.
For the “Make happiness!” nomination S7 Airlines has selected two works, “Born to Fly” by Svetlana Polukhina from Fryazino and “The Dream” by Vladimir Kuts from Moscow. The authors of these photos will receive tickets for two to any place in the S7 Airlines route network.
S7 Airlines is the official partner of the Best of Russia since 2008. The geography of the project matches the airline’s route network covering all regions of Russia.
