The builders have completed the construction of the new terminal of the Simferopol International Airport. This reported by TASS.

"I want to congratulate all of you on this event.There is no doubt that by the beginning of the summer holiday season the terminal will receive the first passengers.This will be a worthy gateway to the Crimea and a visiting card of Simferopol", said Russia's Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov, speaking to the work team.

A new passenger terminal with an area of 78.000 sq.m is built in Crimea by the company "International Airport Simferopol". The general contractor is "Alfa Construction", also from the Crimea.

The interior of the Crimean airport will be made in the style of a tropical forest, it will decorate 30 thousand plants.

The new terminal of the airport "Simferopol" will be open in 3-4 months.

In its initial year upon completion, an estimated 6.5 million people a year are expected to use the airport, before increasing to ten million people.
