More than 50 MiG-31 and Su-24 compete in-flight refueling trainings over Ural and Siberia

More than 50 aircraft of Central Military District tactical air force have completed flights over Ural and west Siberia. Crews of three air regiments located in Chelyabinsk region, and Perm and Krasnoyarsk krais were involved in the maneuvers.

In-flight refueling was a culmination of the maneuvers. It is considered to be one of the most complicated elements of flight training.

The MiG-31BM modernized fighter jets and Su-24M short-range bombers practiced the element in pairs and one by one at the altitude of 5,500m at a speed of 550km/h, approaching the tanker at a distance up to 10m.
