Russian jets were scrambled four times in the past week to intercept foreign aircraft near the country’s borders, the Russian Defense Ministry said in its weekly statistics published by the Krasnaya Zvezda daily on Friday. This reported by TASS.

In total, 18 foreign aircraft were conducting aerial surveillance along Russia’s borders in the reported period.

"Any violation of the Russian airspace was prevented," the paper said.

Last week, Russian military experts conducted an inspection in Denmark. No foreign inspections were carried out in Russia in the past week.
