Russian cosmonaut Sergey Ryazansky, who has just returned from his mission to the International Space Station (ISS), has revealed that social media gave him powerful emotional support. This reported by TASS.

"Social networking sites are great. At first, I was a strong opponent of these platforms because I did not have time to manage my webpages, but then I gradually got used to it. During my mission to the ISS, I realized that this provides great psychological support and I love reading the commentaries," the cosmonaut said at his news conference in the Star City.

According to Ryazansky, the comments on social media helped during his daily work schedule in orbit.

"I have neither the time, nor ability to reply to everyone who writes to me…but this is very strong support. When you see a split-second remark…from various countries, it is great, it is somewhat of an absolutely different dimension," the cosmonaut concluded.
