In 2017, the Ka-27 helicopters of the Baltic Fleet Naval Air Force have carried out more than 200 landings on the decks of different-type carriers. More than a third of them have been made in the dark conditions.
In total, Ka-27 crews have spent more than 1,500 hours in the air, exceeding the year flight plan by 10 %.
In the Baltic Sea waters, the Ka-27 helicopters have participated in tests of the newest ships built for the Russian Navy.
In 2018, Ka-27 ship-based helicopters are to take part in various tactical exercises, in the test tactical exercise of the Fleet’s force grouping, in a number of international naval exercises and distant cruises of the BF ships to some North Atlantic, Indian Ocean and Mediterranean areas.
