Pacific Fleet Marines make over 100 parachute jumps within combat training

In accordance with the combat training plan, the Pacific Fleet’s Kamchatka Marines have carried out more than 100 different parachute jumps. The MI-8 helicopters of the PF Naval Aviation carried out landing.

The helicopters made about 10 sorties a day from the Yelizovo air base. In total, since the beginning of the new training year, two subunits of the Fleet’s Marine formations have already completed nearly 300 parachute jumps.

It is noteworthy that following the 2017 results pilots of the Fleet Naval Air Force overfulfilled the plan for airborne training by marines and other special subunits that carried out more than 1,400 jumps.
