The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s Antonov An-148 jet has carried out a medical evacuation of two gravely ill children that are in need of highly-qualified, high-tech medical aid, from the city of Yekaterinburg to Moscow.
The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s plane is rigged with specialized medical modules and modern equipment, breathing apparatuses and cardiomonitors that allow rendering medical aid during the flight.
Medical specialists from the Zashchhita All-Russian Disaster Medicine Center of the Russian Health Ministry accompanied the patients during the flight.
Upon arriving to Moscow, one child was delivered to the Veltishchev Clinical Research Institute of Paediatrics of the Pirogov Russian National Medical Research Insititute for specialized care, while the other one was delivered to Shumakov National Medical Research Center for Transplantology and Artificial Organs of the Russian Health Ministry.
